Learners will learn how to determine different types of plants i.e. fruit and vegetables, flowers etc. How to setup a garden bed, taking into consideration the sun and rain etc. and watering system, identify different insects and their role in the garden, the use of pesticides and fertilisers and other chemical preparations required for the garden and harvesting foods and flowers.
This course is set up closely related the Certificate 1 in Horticultural studies and will allow the participant to use
this as a prerequisite.
