There are many reasons why some people find it hard to engage in education however what underpins many of the reasons is fear. Fear plays a devastating role in denying people the opportunity to achieve their potential.
The fear of the unknown, of success and failure, of experiencing the dread of not being ‘smart enough’ to undertake assignments or exams. These fears are just some of what people from a variety of backgrounds experience when considering reengagement into education.
Our program aims to break the cycle by walking you through gentle yet meaningful workshops that help you reflect, refocus, and re-engage.
Workshop themes will include reflection on institutional and attitudinal barriers to education, ways to overcome fears of success and failure, the benefits of education in interrupting the poverty cycle, rediscovering what your interests are and creating pathways to further education.
By the end our of program, you will have renewed confidence in your educational abilities and a pathway to further learning opportunities.
