PLEASE NOTE: You can bring your own sewing machine or request for the Centre's sewing machines hire.
Term 2, 2024 – Tuesdays
Class Dates: 30 April 2024 – 18 June, 2024
Time: 6:15pm - 8:15pm
Duration: 8 weeks (Once a week - Tuesdays)
Cost: $220 full fee or *$180 Concession
and $50 materials fee
The cost of materials and tools is not included, so be prepared to spend $50 for material fee.
*PLEASE NOTE: If you want to get the discounted rate of $180 Concession, then you must contact the office by email programs@skcc.net.au
and also submit your concession card copy.
Course Overview:
Week 1: Reintroduction of the sewing machine and learning Intermediate sewing practices. Students to take home a sampler.
Week 2: Linings, Fusings with fully lined tote bag project.
Week 3: Repairs and Alterations Session
Week 4: Bucket Hat Project
Week 5: Bring in a project (practice key learnings on individual projects)
Week 6: Make a Sweater - Overlocking Project
Week 7 and 8: Creating an intermediate garment.
Bookings are only confirmed after receiving completed enrollment form and payment.
Unless a class is postponed or cancelled by SKCC, refunds and transfers are only considered when a written request is received 10 days before your course begins.
An administration fee of $35 applies. No refunds are given once a course has commenced. If you fail to attend a class that you have paid for, you will not receive a refund. Classes may be cancelled due to insufficient enrolments. If your class is cancelled by SKCC, you will receive a full refund. SKCC reserves the right to alter or postpone courses, or to change fees, teachers or locations if unforeseen circumstances occur.
If you enroll in a Pre-accredited course, we will require additional information. You will need to fill in a detailed enrolment form.
If there is a medical emergency, you authorise SKCC to seek appropriate care on your behalf and you accept full responsibility for expenses incurred.
